Company HistoryWe are an agricultural machinery dealership holding the John Deere franchise, alongside many others including Amazone, Bailey Trailers, Kverneland/Accord, Knight Sprayers, Opico, Martin Lishman, McHale, Simba, Spearhead, Sumo and Vapormatic.We operate from our head office at Gonerby Moor, Grantham (the site being conveniently located at the side of the A1) and through our four other branches at Melton Mowbray, Stamford, Lowdham and Pytchley. Sharmans stock an extensive range of both new and used tractors, combines and agricultural machinery of all makes. We supply genuine John Deere parts, parts for all other makes, lubricants, batteries, accessories, toys, leisure and work clothing and boots. Our highly skilled Service Departments are extremely well equipped and have experienced service technicians. We invest heavily in regular service training and use the latest Service Advisor laptop diagnostic technology to ensure your downtime is kept to an absolute minimum. Our Parts Departments are extensively stocked with the full range of genuine parts for all of our major franchises. We also offer through our PartsCountry department a unique service of parts for most makes of agricultural tractors including, Fendt, Ford, Case, Massey Ferguson, McCormick, JCB, Deutz, Landini, David Brown, Zetor, Renault, Valtra, Merlo etc - we try to cover all of your needs! The Evolution of Sharmans Agricultural Ltd: 1981 - R.G Barclay purchased Sharman & Ladbury Ltd which consisted of a Ford Car dealership and a Ford Agricultural dealership (Leicester Road) in Melton Mowbray. 1984 - August, R.G Barclay purchased Elbar at Grantham and Sleaford 1987 - Sold Elbar at Sleaford and purchased T.C Harrison depot at Barnack Road, Stamford. 1989 - November, John Deere franchise taken on at Grantham in place of Ford New Holland and consequently at Melton and Stamford. 2000 - Sharmans expanded with 2 further depots at Pytchley near Kettering and Brackenhurst College, Southwell, to service a larger area. 2005 - Sharmans moved from rented premises at Brackenhurst College, Southwell to owned premises at Lowdham on the Old Epperstone Road.
